Today I was looking to pass on NHL, but with interesting line movement at Pinny I've decided to make one play.

MON/NYR game holds different views, but one I feel hyped up is the battle of the goalies. The lines open shaded Over 6 across the board, from opening to afternoon EST the price dropped steadily and made a small bounce back.
I think the price will head closer to the opening line. First Period Over 1.5 moved opposite to the complete game total.

Montreal (7-3-1-0) at NY Rangers (6-3-2-1) OVER 6 at -107 (L)

3rd Period burst of scoring to make it interesting, but this one was a Trick, no Treat.

Flames vs Sharks

Flames end their 5 game road trip and will try to stop the 2 game skid.
Sharks are home on a high note with win over Kings with 3.7 seconds left.
These teams split their four matchups in 2003-04, but the Sharks could hold the advantage tonight, as the home team in this series is unbeaten (7-0-1) in the last eight meetings. Calgary, which is winless (0-5-2) in its last seven in San Jose, is also just 1-10-3 in its last 14 as the guest in this matchup.
San Jose netminder Nolan Schaefer finished with 21 saves for last night's win in his first NHL start. Rookie Dimitri Patzold, though, could get his first start tonight with Evgeni Nabokov and Vesa Toskala sidelined.
Sauve, the backup netminder made 31 saves, some of them spectacular, as he kept the Flames in it despite being outshot 34-15. Dispite the Sharks goal keeper issue opportunity will remain slim for the Flames.

SAN JOSE SHARKS -106 (W)
UNDER 6 -120 (W)

Oh man, did you see the size of that moose in the 3rd period for Flame backers....Ouch! That puck in the Shoot Out was heard loud in Calgary.
Maybe people there will start flying the Flames flag upside down,
sign of distress.

Sharks vs Kings

San Jose is struggling just to find someone to find the goal.
Top goalie Evgeni Nabokov suffered an upper-body injury against Columbus last Friday and was placed on injured reserve Thursday.
Backup Vesa Toskala started in his absence against Dallas on Wednesday, but left in the second period with a groin injury.
Nolan Schaefer, recalled from Cleveland last week, made 12 saves in his NHL debut as the Sharks rallied for a 5-4 win in overtime, ending a four-game losing streak.
Kings goalies are being rotated. Comer, LaBarbera is one of the main reasons why the Kings, at 7-3-0, are off to their best start since 1990-91.
Garon, meanwhile, hasn't been nearly as sharp, going 2-3-0 with a 3.19 GAA and an .873 save percentage.

SJS/LAK OVER 6 +110 (W)

The game is still going, but game has gone OVER.
Must be living right.

Lindros second coming? He is a force right now.

Toronto Maple Leafs -112 (L)

Bad pick.

Undefeated Senetors vs the unrelenting attack of the Hurricanes.

OVER 1.5 FIRST PERIOD (W)

2 from Ottawa to knock in this winner.

Sunday, October 23, 2005

Here's a tough test for the Wilds or maybe more so for the Blackhawks.
Dreadful start with his new team, Khabibulin will likely be in net when the Blackhawks return from a four-day layoff to take on the surging Minnesota Wild. The Wild will likely pose another significant threat. Minnesota is off to an impressive start, thanks to a high-octane offense and solid goaltending.

MIN ML +105 (L)

Blackhawks pull out in the 3rd. They need that win.

Sorry for my hiatus. I will view the games before returning with graded plays.

Wednesday, October 19, 2005

Today the choice on the ice is Avs to make a stand at home against the streaky Kings ATS.

COL -1.5 +205 (L)

Avs take 3-1 first period lead only to give it all back and lose at the closing of 3rd ! Back to the drawing board for NHL, this is not acceptable.

Sunday, October 16, 2005

What a horrible way to start the NHL ! One year off with some tweaked rules and what the hell? Good cappers have down turns too nobody's immune from it.

Saturday, October 15, 2005

Sorry everybody. Got carried away with MLB and all kinds of college football games playing all around me. Not sure if I will take a NHL play today.
Selections have not been good on Ice.

Friday, October 14, 2005

NHL play of the day is Atlanta Thrashers -137 to bounce back after a shut out.

Late Game: CLB/ANA FIRST PERIOD OVER 1.5 -113

Thrash pick was ugly and goose eggs in Pond 1st period 0-2 -2.50 units

Thursday, October 13, 2005

I have a play in mind, but it's off the board right now. Don't want to give away too much info. I got to take my position before I post it.

OK the line is out for BOSTON / FLORIDA. I know the play was kind of obvious and I don't like obvious plays, but I will take these in early season.

UNDER 6 -132
I think the payoff is in the First Period
UNDER 1.5 +101

I did not have a handle on that game. 0-2 -2.33 units
Nice win on Boston Batis.

Wednesday, October 12, 2005

Took a licking on ice yesterday, but we just get up dust ourselves off and keep on ticking. There are too many venues to cover today and I will pass on today's NHL games. Please check back again.

Tuesday, October 11, 2005

Batis listed some very nice Overs today,
Montreal - Ottawa Over 6.5
Toronto - Philadelphia Over 6.5
St.Louis - Chicago Over 6.5

I'm going to focus in on TOR/PHL O6.5 -117
The defense is not up to par in this offensive match up.

Flyers could not score in the 3rd to kill this play.
0-1 -117 units

Monday, October 10, 2005

Batis knocked in a winner to start the season.
I'll start by going against a high total in Buffalo and Pittsburgh. Yes the new rules are notching up the score, but many games are finishing below the higher set total and this total 7 comes from under trending match up.

BUF/PIT UNDER 7 -114

Off to a right start. Knocked in the Under with OT.

1-0 +1.00 unit

Saturday, October 08, 2005

NHL is in swing. Although the plays are not ready for publishing the games are being tracked. With the new rules geared toward scoring the books are quickly adjusting the Totals. These adjustments may not be such a bad thing.
I've knocked down some games this season, but still not comfortable.
Comfort level comes with not only wins, but how they win and number of games. It should be a exciting season.
